We’re hiring for two roles right now. Both are part-time, based in Los Angeles

Event Barista

- Los Angeles, CA - Part-time 

$20-$25/hr + tips | Serve espresso and latte art at events across LA & SoCal

  • Great espresso is the minimum what makes an Event Barista at Pulo is how you make a guest feel in the thirty seconds they're standing in front of you, at a brand activation, a film set, or a corporate event where every interaction reflects on the client we're serving. You'll work alongside our Event Lead across Southern California. Shifts run 3 to 6 hours, roughly 12 events a month, and strong performers have a clear path to Event Lead.

  • We hire for character first, then train for craft. Specifically, people who are:

    Humble. You put the team and the guest ahead of your own spotlight. You don't need to be the center of attention to feel good about a shift. You take direction well and look for ways to improve every event, not just get through it.

    Hungry. You bring real effort to every shift, not just enough to get by. You're the one who says yes when a last-minute event needs coverage, and you're always sharpening your craft, whether that's your pour or your read on a room.

    People Smart. You read a room and adjust. A rushed exec who needs their coffee fast and no small talk, a curious guest who wants to know about the matcha, a teammate who's stretched thin mid-rush. You know the difference and you meet each moment accordingly.

  • Pull and dial in espresso shots, steam milk and pour latte art, deliver warm and attentive guest service, keep your station clean and on-brand, support light setup and breakdown, communicate with the Event Lead throughout service.

  • Barista experience with strong espresso and milk fundamentals, latte art ability (at minimum a consistent heart), reliable and available on weekends, valid CA driver's license, based in the LA area with reliable transportation.

  • La Marzocco experience, background in mobile coffee or events, food handler certification.

  • $20–$25/hr post-training plus tips, part-time at roughly 12 events a month, 3 to 6 hour shifts, paid training, $150 bonus every 5 strong-performance events, growth path to Event Lead or Production Lead.

Event Operations Crew

- Inglewood, CA (warehouse-based) - Part-time

$25-$30/hr + tips | Set up and break down our coffee carts and equipment at events across LA and Southern California.

  • You're the backbone of our events: setting up and breaking down carts and equipment, keeping everything running on time and successfully. It's physical, detail-oriented work, and reliability matters more here than almost anything else.

  • We hire for character first, then train for the checklist. Specifically, people who are:

    Humble. You put the team ahead of your own interests and show up ready to do the unglamorous work that makes an event run. You're not keeping score of who did what. If the event goes off without a hitch, that's the win, whether or not anyone saw you do it.

    Hungry. You're often the one who says yes when a shift opens up last minute. You bring real effort every time, not just enough to get by, and you take pride in a setup that's fast, clean, and exactly to spec.

    People Smart. You read the moment, a client anxious about timing, an Event Lead stretched thin mid-event, a Barista who needs backup. You know when to step in without being asked and when to stay out of the way.

  • Load, transport, and set up carts and equipment at events, confirm water/power/layout before service, break down and pack equipment after events, assist with restocking, communicate with Event Leads and Baristas on-site, clean and maintain equipment at the warehouse.

  • Based in or around LA, valid driver's license with a good driving record, able to lift up to 65 lbs, comfortable with equipment setup/breakdown, able to follow detailed checklists precisely, strong reliability and time management, flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, available at least 3 days a week including some last-minute shifts.

  • Experience in events, production, or hospitality, an eye for photo or video content.

  • $25–$30/hr depending on experience, plus tips when applicable, part-time schedule built around our event calendar, room to grow into Event Lead or expanded operations roles.
